China wants in on the international media stage.
And what China says, China does.
A senior Chinese official, on an inspection of China Central Television (CCTV), said today that China needs to increase its visibility globally, and urged state media to focus more content on international affairs, instead of mainly reporting local coverage.
The senior official, Li Changchu, said also the networks need to work harder in reporting more original, timely, and popular stories.

The tide really is turning.
China continues the push to improve its public image, and to dominate the world.
But the question is: Will the mainstream media here listen?
